We custom-build products for our partners and are looking for an Insurance Policy and Forms Analyst to join our underwriting team. You will oversee new and renewal travel insurance programs, manage new products, filings and rate developments.


Titles define individual roles, but at battleface, it’s working off-CV and with the team that is essential for contributing to our rapid growth.



Product Policy Forms development for initial submission to Department of Insurance

  • Develops generic and state specific policy forms in accordance with state statutes and regulations based on information provided by product, underwriting, actuarial, legal and compliance
  • Form types developed: policy, certificate, rider, EOV, amendments, endorsements, applications for “countrywide” and "set plan" states
  • Additional documents developed: filing letters explaining product scope/product variations.
  • Develops policy forms for specific cases in accordance with state statutes and regulations based on information provided by product, underwriting, and compliance
  • Perform competitive research and reviews to ensure filings remain competitive


Responding to objections received from Department of Insurance

  • Partners with compliance, underwriting, and actuarial to obtain responses to comments and/or objections from state insurance examiners
  • Reviews objections and statutory references and develops responses to objections or comments from state insurance departments in accordance with state statutes and regulations and in a professional tone


Product Policy Form Development

  • Develops policy fulfillment documents for battleface and partner programs as needed
  • Keeps all stakeholders apprised on product policy forms development progress and any challenges that might be encountered
  • Develops Program Guides and other training materials from Operations and Business Development
  • Maintain comprehensive forms library

At the same time, you also think insurance needs to be simple and easy to understand, while respecting underwriting and regulatory guidelines. Using data, you’re able to identify future customer needs. You’re eager to help us define what those needs are and help us architect and build the right products.



  • 1 – 3 years of product policy forms development experience
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret product specification and transfer those requirements into compliant policy form language
  • Strong ability to interpret and translate state insurance statutes and regulations
  • Strong analytical, writing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Familiarity with SERFF
