The Job: we're looking for a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist to execute on a broad range of human resources services in support of business objectives and strategies, with the purpose of solving our current and developing talent needs. The role reports to the Head of People and will be based at the battleface headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.



  • Lead the talent acquisition process end to end to deliver top talent within established search timelines
  • Forging partnerships to ensure a diverse pool and pipeline of high potential talent to meet the needs of the growing business
  • Engage in full cycle recruiting for various level roles: Screen resumes, perform initial phone interview, present top candidates to hiring managers, initiate background checks, conduct reference checks, and create offer letters
  • Partner with regional management teams to ensure execution of talent acquisition and D&I activities globally
  • Drive candidate experience and ensure proper onboarding for new hires
  • Build applicant sources by researching and qualifying social media sites, internet specific sites, universities and, when applicable, employment agencies
  • Assist Head of People with various research projects and/or special projects
  • Manage day-to-day HR functions as needed


About You: The successful candidate will demonstrate a passion for people and thrives in a fast-paced environment and can deliver on both administrative and strategic responsibilities, including, but not limited to, talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and development, company culture, and optimization of the full employee lifecycle experience.


  • Experience creating, designing, and executing recruiting strategy
  • 3+ years performing full cycle recruiting
  • Ability to manage work independently with little oversight
  • Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
  • Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Experience leading the recruitment process at high growth Insurtech companies is a plus
